Well its been a while!

The house at Broadstone is looking more like home after the move. We are ready for the christmas season to start and I have made nothing other than food! I have been adding a few things to my family cook book such as Nigella's mini christmas pudding truffles. (very cute) also a sweet and sour beetroot side dish for all those left over frozen beets from the garden. I made some cute goats cheese mini tarts and a different take on mince pies stolen from GMTV daily cook phil vickery! A large goats cheese tart ans some pretty mince pies.

Im very heavily pregnant now as baby is due any day. So everything feels like a mission.

All set though and ready for our new arrival and for santa to come!

3 new hand drawn card designs

Just did 3 designs with ink and marker for some christmas cards that have been ordered.

Need to find some good wording for personal inserts for some future orders I have had in. Its actually rather difficult to be creative when you are surrounded by cardboard boxes and have no permanent work station I keep having to clear away my mess every 5 minutes as im in the nursery sitting at the table! What a set up!

Made another set of 10 cards for an order yesterday and delivered today. They seem to be going down really well in sets of 10. Of course the discounted price helps but its for christmas and im no scrooge at christmas! My online shop is almost empty so must spend the day tomorrow making new cards I also have an order for 32 mixed cards that I'd really like to have made before friday when we are "supposed" to be moving.

New Christmas Sets On Sale

Sneak preview of the new set of cards due to go on sale in my MISI Marti Crafts store.

Been a hectic week as the sale of our house goes through this week so will be without the internet shortly so will have a 2 week break from selling soon. Then we shall be back with lots of new craft gifts ready for the new year.

I finished a set of cards today

This evening I did a set of 20 cards for an order.

theres 4 different designs but I forgot to photgraph one of the designs!

They look sweet all ribboned up together. I think next time for an order like this I will not wrap them each individually in the cellophane wraps but make a box for them instead.

Me and Millie "makin & bakin"

Today we started making some more christmas cards and also baked some cookies, thing is there is only a couple of cookies left and its only lunch time! Naughty us!

I ordered some magnets from a lovely ETSY seller yesterday and they arrived this morning I was amazed when i opened the package. Well worth taking a look at her shop via the link.

Anyway must make us some lunch or we will have no crafty energy later!

Today is paper mache day in my house, such fun, sainsburys had a special offer on paper mache glue, from £3.99 down to 25p!!!!!!

So I got a paper mache book from the libary and have started to make some birds that I am going to decorate for christmas! Oh the mess I love it!

Also made some cards yesterday Christmas theme aswell. A cute funny rocking angel and zig zag penguins.

Cards now for sale in the salon

My cards are now in my sister in laws hair salon for sale I made up a wicker box to look sweet with a bit of info and left them there yesterday when I had my hair done. They are also listed online in my MISI store but thought the more people that get to see them the more likely I am to get some sales. Also went to the local libary and got a few crafty books on paper crafts like paper mache etc. Got a good idea for some penguin xmas cards that i will try to put the "marti" touch to as the ones I found look a bit old fashioned. The books from the libary are from the 70's so bit out of date.

The cards ive made have been really simple I know but I think at the moment that I like simple it can be more effective.

I have my stand!

My stand came yesterday took me a while to "origami" style set it up but i did and its now got my name on and filled ready to go! Also been making more cards with my little helper today! Added them to my facebook site marticratfs and also to my http://www.misi.co.uk/handmade/marticrafts.html online shop.

Took things easy today as the bump is growing coming up 27 weeks now not long to go!

A 40th birthday card and a regular birthday card theres a little birthday greeting inside the "shoe" card. I have ordered a stand to display the cards in for sale its a cardboard stand holds between 40-80 cards so they are almost ready for the shop!
And thats it last bit for the day all packed up ready for supper

new cards to be sold

Decided to change the flower note cards I thought they were too plain, so fiddled a bit with them.

I have the day to myself today as Millie is with her childminder so thought I'd get stuck into some more card making as my craft box is the ONLY thing I have not yet packed!

Cupcake cards finished!

Made 3 of each design cherries and hearts, they don not look much in the picture but they look nice in the cello wrap packets, I am getting a little pile now ready for my stall! Trading standards got back to me yesterday afternoon aswell giving me all the info, the only thing that might be scuppered from reading laws abd regs stuff is the rag dolls. Due to laws being so tight on childrens toys, I think you could sell them with a warning label saying this is not a toy. But we will see.
